What is sole proprietorship?
It is an establishment owned by one person with the purpose of conducting a business activity (commercial, professional, industrial and tourist activities). The owner of the sole proprietorship is personally liable for all the financial obligations and liabilities incurred by the establishment.
Who is eligible for setting up a sole proprietorships?
UAE and GCC nationals may conduct any of the businesses falling within this legal form, provided that all requirements and conditions are met.
Nationals of other countries may own only professional businesses under this legal form, provided that a UAE local service agent is appointed.

يجوز لمواطني دولة اإلمارات العربية المتحدة ومواطني دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي ممارسة معظم األنشطة المندرجة ضمن هذا الشكل القانوني شريطة استيفاء المتطلبات.
يجــوز لمواطــني الدول األخــرى امتالك األنشطة المهنية فقط ضمن هذا الشكل القانوني شريطة تعيين وكــيل خــدمات محــلي من مواطني دولة اإلمارات العربية المتحدة
