2) Trade name Reservation:

  • After getting the initial approval, you can reserve the trade name suitable for the trade license, either on DED's website, the ‘DED Mainland License Business’ App, or by visiting the nearest outsourced service centre.
  • You can also choose to reserve the trade name before obtaining the initial approval.

3) DED Mainland License Issuance:

  • After getting the initial approval and reserving the trade name, the client can apply for a trade license with our business consultants and they will ensure you get the license within 24-48 hours.

Documents & Forms Required for the DED Mainland Permit Approval:

  • 1. Completed business registration and licensing form (available on DED’s website, as well as its offices and outsourced service centres).
  • 2. Copy of the licensee's passport/ ID.
  • 3. Copy of the applicant’s residence permit/ visa (for non- GCC nationals).
  • 4. No Objection Certificate from the applicant's sponsor (for non-GCC nationals) to practice a business activity (Not applicable for partner or investor).
  • 5. The company's articles of association.
  • 6. Feasibility study of the project.
  • 7. The parent company's board resolution to open a branch in Dubai.
  • 8. Letter of authorisation of the managing director.
  • 9. Copy of the parent company's commercial registration certificate.
  • 10. Copy of the parent company's memorandum of association (MOA).
  • 11. Copy of the parent company's license.

  • 6 الجدوى االقتصادية للمشروع. .7 قرار مجلس إدارة الشركة األم بفتح فرع بإمارة دبي.
  • 7 كتاب تفويض المدير المسؤول.
  • 9 نسخة عن شهادة السجل التجاري للشركة األم
  • 10 نسخة عن عقد تأسيس الشركة األم.
  • 11 نسخة عن الرخصة األم.

Trade Name for DED Mainland License

The trade name is connected to the establishment and distinguishes it from other establishments. Most dealings with the establishment are done under this trade name.

What are the conditions for reserving a trade name?

  • It should be a proper name and should not contain obscene or indecent words and should not be offensive to the general public.
  • The name should not include Allah’s name nor «God» or His divine attributes.
  • Family names, tribes' names and other persons’ names should not be used as a trade name unless the name belongs to the licensee concerned.
  • The name should not be the same as used by any of the active brands in the Emirate of Dubai or government projects, or those names used by any of the international brands.
  • Names should be written literally and not translated, for example: If the Arabic name is «العاليــة الســماء» it must be written as “Al Samaa Al Aalya”; and if Arabic name is « ســكاي هــاي» it must be written as “High Sky”).
  • The name should not include the name of a country or government unless an approval is obtained from the country’s respective embassy.
  • The trade name must be logical and strictly reflect and indicate the business activity. For example, it is not allowed to obtain a trade name such as “Al Madina Contracting” for a building materials trading license.
  • The name cannot include any restricted names such as global political organizations or religious sectarian organizations.
  • DED has the right to cancel or change a trade name, if a similar name is found to be existing.

يرتبط االسم التجاري بالمنشأة ويكون خاص فيها ويميزها عن غيرها من المنشآت حيث تتم معظم التعامالت مع المنشأة من خالل اسمها التجاري.

ما هي شروط حجز االسم التجاري

  • أن يكون االسم من االسماء الالئقة والتي ال تحتوي على الكلمات البذيئة، وأال يكون من االسماء التي تخدش الحياءوتنافي الذوق العام.
  • أال يدل االسم على لفظ الجاللة أو على صفاته.
  • أال يكون االسم عائداً إلى اسم شخص آخر أو إلى إحدى األسر والقبائل واألشخاص إال لصاحب الترخيص المعني.
  • أال يماثل االسم إحدى االسماء التجارية المفعلة في إمارة دبي أو المشاريع الحكومية أو األسماء العالمية والعالمات التجارية.
  • عــدم ترجمــة األســماء التجاريــة، )مثــال: االســم إن كان باللغــة العربيــة "الســماء العاليــة" فيجــب أن تكــون ترجمتــه " Aalya Al Samaa Al "، وإن كان االســم باللغــة العربيــة "هــاي ســكاي" فتكــون ترجمتــه Sky" .("High
  • أال يحمـــل اســما من أســماء الـــدول أو العواصم أو الحكومات، إال بموافقــة الســفارة التابعـــة للدولـــة.
  • أن يكـــون منطــقيا مرتبـــطا باألنشــطة التجـــارية وداال علـــيها في حال ذكر النـــشاط، مـــثال ال يجــوز الحصـــول على اســـم "المدينة للمـــقاوالت" لرخصـــة نشـــاطها تجـــارة مواد البناء.
  • أن يكون االسم من االسماء التجارية الغير محظورة، فال يجب أن يدل على منظمات سياسية عالمية أو انتماءات طائفية دينية.
  • في حال تشابه اسم تجاري مع اسم موجود ومستخدم من حق اقتصادية دبي إلغاء أو تغيير االسم.
